Application for Membership Notice
1.
All documents passed to us will only be used to verify the statements
made in the applicant's petition and will not be divulged to any third
parties.
2.
Duration of processing petitions cannot be specific, as the processing
and confirmation of information provided is often reliant
on outside sources; which is beyond our control. Although we
attempt to complete the application process within 1 month, we cannot
guarantee that time frame.
3.
Unsuccessful applications will have the petition fee refunded, although
they may be subject to a deduction to cover our administration
costs.
4.
We cannot guarantee the return of any documents or photographs provided
with petitions for admission, so please send copies only.
5. For Order Court Membership Only:
Due to the cost of ordering each new regalia, which is made
especially for each member at the point of receipt of application, and
the cost of brevet production and registration, we are unable to refund
any petition fees, so please ensure that you committed to joining before applying.
In some cases, we will be prepared to offer the neckcross to other
applicants and refund the monies upon receipt of the payment.
CRB Checks
The
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), an Executive Agency of the Home Office,
provides wider access to criminal record information through its
Disclosure service.
This service enables The
Knights Templar UK and its 'White Knights'
and other organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to
make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be
unsuitable for certain work, especially that which involves children or
vulnerable adults.
The CRB was established under Part V of the Police Act 1997 and was launched in March 2002.
